The latest McCance and Widdowson’s The Composition of Foods Integrated Dataset 2021 has been published by Public Health England and can be downloaded at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/composition-of-foods-integrated-dataset-cofid#history

This version of the dataset includes the most recent nutrient analysis of key cuts of pork for associated foods and recipes within the pork section. Data on the following foods have also been corrected:

  • vitamin C in watercress
  • iodine in soya yogurt
  • vitamin E, sugars and biotin in boiled and steamed sweet potato

All other values remain unchanged from the 2019 update of CoFID.

In addition, the corresponding dataset for food labelling purposes has also been updated with recent changes and can be downloaded at https://fnnbri.quadram.ac.uk/labelling/

For quick searches of nutrient contents in specific food items, the CoFID searchable website has been updated too and can be accessed via https://quadram.ac.uk/UKfoodcomposition/
